ACTIVITIES
HOMAGES TO JACOB AND SAMUEL
As a part of the dinner reception on Tuesday, guests are invited to participate in an evening of frivolity through tributes to the newly married couple. Guests are welcome to deliver a tribute, a song, a poem or other performance inspired by Jacob and Samuel's love story. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a wedding trivia contest meant to test guests' knowledge of the grooms and their relationship!
NATURE HIKES ON THE CASTLE ESTATE GROUNDS
Duns Castle is a one-of-a-kind and historic destination. Samuel and Jacob invite you to discover and enjoy this idyllic setting - a wildlife refuge - with great nature walks, animal life, natural beauty, and comfortable climate amid it's picturesque rural location. The intention of a three-day wedding celebration was to create a unique time and space for guests to forge lasting memories together. Take a walk with someone you don't know!
Bring proper walking boots!
TENNIS, CROQUET, and BILLIARDS
A variety of activities will be available to wedding guests over the course of the celebration. The castle grounds offer tennis courts (bring your own racquets) as well as the opportunity to play croquet. Alternatively, climb to the tower floor of Duns Castle and you'll find the billiards room, built in 1836, available for our exclusive use over the course of the wedding experience. The room is imposing and stately in and of itself, with original gas lights that have been converted along with an ornate matching scoreboard.
